Two additional boxers have been confirmed to the New Zealand Commonwealth Games team this week.

David Nyika – 81kg Light Heavyweight and Eric Finau – 75kg Middleweight will join the seven boxers named in May following bold medal winning bouts at the North Island Golden Gloves event in Taupo over Queen’s Birthday weekend.

David Nyika – Men’s 81kg Light Heavyweight – Age 18, Birthplace - Hamilton, Residence - Hamilton. Gold medal – North Island Golden Gloves 2014, Gold medal Villenzia Memorial Cup Albania 2014, bronze medal Felix Stermm Cup 2014.

Eric Finau – 75kg Middleweight Age 19, Birthplace - Tonga, Residence, Manukau City. 2014 - Gold Medal at North Island Golden Gloves, 2014 Tour to Australia, won Gold (beat Australian #1)

Magan Maka – Women’s 75kg Middleweight – Age: 20 Birthplace: Auckland Residence: Wellsford. Gold medal Melbourne Expo International 2014, Silver medal Four Nations Auckland 2014. Chad Milnes – Men’s 60kg Lightweight – Age: 22 Birthplace: Takapuna, Auckland Residence: North Shore, Auckland.
